Education program to train pharmacists with advanced skills

We have prepared various educational programs to train pharmacists with advanced and wide-ranging expertise.
In addition, Qol independently implements the "QOL certified pharmacist system", an independent in-house certification system to provide highly advanced medical treatment, and has realized training of highly specialized pharmacists that goes beyond the range of pharmacist qualifications.

Pharmacy in Cooperation with Specialized Medical Institutions/Community Medical Coordination Pharmacy

Pharmacies in Cooperation with Specialized Medical Institutions, which are capable of professional pharmacy management of conditions such as cancer as well as dispensing that requires special technology, and Community Medical Coordination Pharmacies, which provide continuous support to patients not only at the time of outpatient consultation but also at the time of hospital admission and discharge and during home medical care, play a central role in the delivery of medical services by pharmacists with high levels of expertise and clinical experience, to ensure that patients can receive drug therapy with peace of mind.

Thorough pursuit of "convenience" for patients

Development of stores closely integrated into people's daily lives

Qol has been developing stores based on the concept of "one-on-one pharmacies" that are tailored to the characteristics of the region and the prescribing medical institution.
Meanwhile, we are also accelerating the opening of stores that pursue further convenience such as "Machinaka (in-town) pharmacies, "Ekichika (close to station) pharmacies," and "Ekinaka (in-station) pharmacies," through partnership with companies from different industries such as Lawson, and Bic Camera.

Fostering safety and convenience through the utilization of ICT

Qol seeks to deliver both safety and convenience for patients and users by encouraging the use of ICT in services.

Qol Okusuribin service (LINE)

We launched the Qol Okusuribin service for ordering prescriptions and providing health information using LINE at Qol pharmacies nationwide.
Pharmacies can use LINE to provide follow-up care to patients, and to give online medication guidance and dietary advice.
The service also supports the electronic medication notebook app.

QOL CARD, a service unique to Qol pharmacies

This service enables a pharmacist to refer to a patient's prescription information at our pharmacies nationwide.
If a patient wants to pick up his or her medication at the pharmacy closest to his or her work, if a patient urgently needs medication while on a trip, or if a patient changes his or her job and his or her Qol pharmacy changes, the pharmacy can refer to the patient's information and dispense the medication.

By using the card, the patient does not have to answer the initial questionnaire, reducing waiting time, and can receive the same quality of service, such as one-dose package, at all pharmacies in Japan.
Moreover, the card allows the medication information of patients to be centrally and continuously monitored, enabling the provision of very safe medication guidance.

Electronic prescription

Qol pharmacies support the electronic prescription system, which was launched in January 2023.

An electronic prescription is a digital version of a paper prescription.

Electronic prescriptions are expected to lead to the provision of safer drug therapy as they make it possible for doctors and pharmacists to refer to information about past medication across multiple medical institutions and pharmacies, subject to patient consent.

Utilization of the electronic prescription framework will enable the entire medical service process, from consultation at a medical institution to submission of an electronic prescription and explanation of medication, to be completed online and will, therefore, make medical services accessible anywhere, including at home, at work or out and about.

Demonstration experiment for drone pharmaceutical deliveries

In recent years, expectations for the use of online consultations have grown, and drone delivery is attracting attention as a method for delivering pharmaceuticals immediately to people's doors.
The Qol Group has conducted a demonstration experiment for the delivery of pharmaceuticals by drone in Etajima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, covering the entire process from online consultation to the delivery of pharmaceuticals.
Going forward, we will consider drone deliveries from various angles including embarking on regular services, with a view to reliably delivering pharmaceutical products to offshore islands and remote areas.
